I believe in many approaches concerning therapy and although I specialize in some, the importance of motivation and goals for change is paramount to the success of the client. I like to see that the client is working on things that are important to them and that the integrity of therapy is understood and maintained. To this end, periodic check-ins are implemented in the treatment plan as our contractual relationship develops.

My specialty lies somewhere in the area of Cognitive and Emotional Behavior Therapy, and I treat many issues with a flexible approach that includes some Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Systems, and Relational approaches. I am a treatment provider for military issues, anxiety, depression, bipolar and borderline issues as well. Substance dependence evaluations and treatment are also provided.

I like to provide a welcoming atmosphere that inspires open communication and explores the possibilities of perceptions in order to help the patient develop an open mind.
